Due to Covid 19, the foundation had no choice but to transition to our first ever Virtual Gala. Our donors, sponsors and guests didn’t miss a beat. Despite not being able to host our typical event including dinner, a wine grab, and cupcake reveal, we still held virtual sports memorabilia and silent auctions, as well as Conner’s Giving Tree. Due to the amazing and generous support of our donors, sponsors and guests, the foundation raised over $30,000.
The 4th Annual Pajama 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Fun Run was held in June. This fun filled day was also transitioned to a Virtual 5k. Runners and walkers went out on their own and submitted their times in support of the foundation.
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Penryn has been nothing short of a blessing, first for their partnership in providing the foundation with work space and storage, but also a special thanks for their continued support hosting fundraising events and pajama donation programs.
On March 10th, Sheryl Holland graciously accepted the 2018 Leah Still Award for Courage at the Hope Gala in New York City. This incredible honor is awarded to those who have been personally affected by cancer, shown perseverance in the face of adversity, and used their experience to raise awareness and give back to the cancer community through personal or professional efforts.
